Experience with Horses

I have worked in competition livery yards in the UK and general livery yards both as a head girl and also as a groom/yard hand. Whilst living in Australia I also worked on large stud farms and in racing stables. I also own my own horses and currently have two youngsters.

Key Skills

General handling of horses (from foals to racehorses in full work), riding, backing and breaking, exercising horses (breakers, hacking, schooling), strapping at races, loading and travelling horses to events/races, preparing lorries for events/races, assisting with foaling down, managing broodmares with and without foals at foot, assisting vets with surgery (yes really!) and general checks (scoping for ulcers), providing medical care to horses (bandaging, administering medication both IV and IM, helping to manage sick foals), prepping youngsters for yearling sales (Magic Millions sale Australia), handling stallions and assisting in live coverings.

Also can train dogs to scent detect!

Requirements

Ideally looking for a live in role where I can bring my two dogs with me (2 5.5yo French Bulldogs who have been around horses since day dot). One is disabled (paralysed in rear legs) so I can’t not be living with him.
Ideally somewhere I can bring my two horses (weanling Traditional Cob colt who will be gelded in Autumn and a yearling TB x Welsh filly) but not a deal breaker if livery stables or land available to rent.

Ideally a job which has a wide variety of things going on with a group of people who have a good sense of humor and are supportive and kind. I very much enjoy stud work.
