Experience with Horses
I have several years of hands-on experience across riding schools, rescue yards, competition venues, equine retail, and veterinary clinics. I have also been a a long-term horse owner and competed British Showjumping. I’m confident handling all types of horses and carrying out daily care, exercising, and medical routines. My time at Hartpury College and in freelance roles has given me a strong mix of practical skills and equine knowledge. Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I enjoy building trust with horses and seeing the results of consistent, quality care- whether that’s in their behaviour, performance, or general wellbeing. I also love the routine and physical nature of any kind of equine work, and being part of a team that shares the same passion.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I’m eager to further develop my riding skills, and enhance my abilities in areas such as clipping and show preparation. I’m currently working towards my BHS exams to expand both my knowledge, practical skills and teaching qualifications.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I’m hardworking, dependable, and genuinely care about the horses and the people I work with. I take pride in doing things properly, staying calm under pressure, and being someone others can rely on. My experience across different parts of the industry has made me adaptable, and I bring a strong mix of hands-on ability, knowledge, and a positive attitude to any role.
