Experience with Horses
Since leaving education my passion and work experience has led me to having a carer in racing, where I have gained two qualifications within racing. Conditional Jockey Category B in 2004 and NVQ Level in Racehorse Care and Management both with the British Racing School Newmarket. I am accomplished in many equine disciplines and am a skilled horse rider that has also rode both amateur races and under professional codes.
I have worked at many racing yards gaining a wealth of experience as Head Lad for yards, Stable Attendant and as a Conditional Jockey, I was responsible for supervising the running of small yards and leading a proactive, enthusiastic, dedicated team of stable attendants ensuring all stable duties were completed to a high standard and ensured they were done by ensuring effective time management of the yard was always adhered too.
Through my work with horses I have represented yards, owners, trainers with ensuring they are kept up to dates about their horses performance, training and entertaining owners at events.
I have also gained many years of experience through riding for owners who owned hunters to hunt them for them and ensure their horses are kept fit throughout the year for the hunt season and have also been actively involved in being a Hunt Master and owning my horse who I hunt and participate in cross country with regularly.
