Experience with Horses
Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.
I can work solo and in a large team, I can adapt to different environments and work under different conditions, happy to always learn from others. I would say I am confident at all that is involved within the horse husbandry roles.
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
working alone, working in a loathe group, managing a team, time keeping, prioritising jobs, understanding horse welfare. I am good with foals, weanlings , yearlings mares and I have worked with stallions .
I can clip, and clean a horse up, I can tack up and understand all types of tack.
I can muck out and do yard maintenance.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
Being with the horses is not like working at all for me, I love the lifestyle and I do like to keep learning off of others who have had more experience in the industry than I have. I like being hands on and practical.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
Yes always things I would like to improve on, I would like to get more in depth with knowledge and that’s only done my working with horses and learning from others.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I am a good person to have on a team or solo basis, I am always open to learn, I listen and will always ask if I need to.
