Future Requirements
• What would you like to do or gain in your next job?
I am ideally looking for a quieter role, preferably on a private or smaller yard. That being said, I am certainly not work shy, and I am happy to get stuck in with all aspects, from day-to-day mucking out, to competition prep. I would also enjoy working within an admin, or office based role. I am completely computer literate and have a very good customer service attitude, I would love the opportunity for someone to allow me to see what I can offer following my many years of hands-on experience.
• Do you need accommodation?
No.
• Do you have any special requirements for any animals you wish to bring with you?
No, although a yard that allows dogs would be great!
• Do you have any ongoing commitments?
No.
• Do you have any holidays booked that an employer needs to know of?
21st – 28th October 2025.
Experience with Horses
Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.
I have over 13 years of experience with horses. I am more than happy to continue with hands-on work, however I would love to step into an office based, or ‘hands off’ role within the equine sector.
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
I am brilliant with horses on the ground, I have a very calm manner and understand horse behaviour and can empathise with them well.
I am also very calm under pressure, or during stressful situations, and can always see a light at the end of the tunnel and how we can best proceed.
I am more than happy working alone or within a team.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I don’t think I could write it down, they’re just wonderful animals to work with.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I haven’t clipped or plaited much recently – I could do with brushing up on that!
I am also not the best rider you’ll ever see – definitely not one to put on your fresh youngsters!
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I am very experienced, honest, have a very positive and friendly attitude, and I am not afraid to get stuck in.
