Experience with Horses
Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.
I have been riding horses since I was 3 years old. I have produced / broken in / competed various types of horses.
I have successfully retrained my thoroughbred who I brough off the track. She was competing successfully up to BE100 until she sustained an injury were she retired.
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
I am both equally happy to work alone or as pat of a team i think both aspects provide positive out looks to any job.
I am confident in riding any type of horse from youngers to competition horses to stallions.
I have previous and personal experience turning out professionally for a show , I would consider my self as a projectionist as I like to ensure every thing I do is to the best standard it can be.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I enjoy working with horses as everyday is different , you create bonds with both people and the horses , I like to know I am needed and when a horse trust you , you have something special.
I enjoy the diversity and being part of a team , it is great when the horses you are looking after and helping train are out doing well
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I like to improve my turning out such as plaiting , due to me not doing it as much anymore , I need a little extra practise .
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I think an employer consider me as i am hard working determined and I do have a passion that I would like to peruse. I am easy to get on with and can have a good laugh as well as put 110% into everything I do.
I can also drive a 3.5 tonne horse box so it is an extra pair do hands if needed.
