If you are a motivated and experienced Groom with initiative, this is an amazing opportunity to join a small, friendly, and hard-working team seeking a vital new member.

With around 12 stabled horses and 3 other staff members, the job includes all usual duties (mucking out around four a day each generally). You will be looking after the stabled and some field-kept horses to deliver the best care. This is a varied, interesting and rewarding role.

Rider not essential, but you must be able to lunge well. Horses kept are between 4 and 8 years old, so experience handling young and well-bred, fit performance horses is essential; although all have very good manners generally;)

5.5 days a week and weekends off with prior arrangement – all shows are planned well in advance.

2-bed accommodation available, shared with another professional person, or a sole-occupancy open-plan annexe.

The Yard Owners are engaged with their yard and lead by example. They do early-morning feeds and late-night checks and like to make sure all staff have a healthy work-life balance. This is a small, friendly team that relies on and supports each other. You should be capable of sole charge when required.

Excellent facilities. Consistent daily routine with a 7.40 am start and finish 5 pm winter/5.30 summer with all the usual breaks.
