Experience with Horses

Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.

Since the age of 14, I have worked on a variety of professional yards, gaining extensive hands-on experience across the equine industry. I have held the position of Head Girl on a 5* event yard and have personally evented up to 4*. I have also groomed at 4* level eventing, including European Championships abroad, giving me a strong understanding of top-level competition preparation and management. My background includes producing young event horses, working on professional dressage yards including an Olympic dressage yard and spending time on racing breaker and breeze-up yards. I have consigned yearlings for sales and worked across multiple racehorse sales from foals to NH stock, developing a confident and professional approach to handling horses in busy commercial environments. In addition, I am experienced with stallions and hold a Class 2 licence. Alongside my yard and competition experience, I have coached U18 riders and Pony Club members, and I hold Level 3 First Aid, a DBS check, and safeguarding certification.

Strengths and Weaknesses

• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?

I enjoy watching the progression of young horses and love working on a well managed, professional yard with happy horses

My knowledge around breeding

• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?

Employers should consider me above other candidates because I bring a combination of broad, high-level experience and a strong work ethic. I’m confident handling a wide range of horses in demanding environments, and I’m never afraid to get stuck in, work hard, and support the team wherever needed. My background across eventing, dressage, racing, young horses, and sales means I can adapt quickly, stay calm under pressure, and consistently maintain professional standards. I’m reliable, proactive, and committed to doing the job properly, qualities that make me an asset to any yard.
