Future Requirements

• What would you like to do or gain in your next job?

I am looking for a role that allows regular riding as part of my responsibilities, alongside hands-on horse care and yard involvement. I’m keen to develop further responsibility in yard organisation/management, while continuing to progress my BHS pathway and practical skills. I’m open to professional, competition or riding-school environments, as long as the role is welfare-led, structured, and offers opportunities to learn and contribute.

• Do you need accommodation?

No.

• Do you have any special requirements for any animals you wish to bring with you?

No.

• Do you have any ongoing commitments?

I am training at Talland School of Equitation twice per week (Tuesday and Wednesday) as part of my BHS progression, and athletic/coaching development.

• Do you have any holidays booked that an employer needs to know of?

No.

Experience with Horses

I have over nine years’ experience in a range of professional equestrian environments, including competition yards, riding schools, and high-performance programmes. My background includes daily horse care, riding and schooling (flatwork, jumping and cross-country), competition preparation, as well as supporting athletes at affiliated events BD and BS. I have worked with fit competition horses, young horses and a variety of temperaments, and I am confident taking sole charge of daily routines, health monitoring and yard organisation and administrative work.I have also travelled, groomed and competed myself within British Dressage. Alongside this, I have experience coaching riders, supporting lesson delivery, and maintaining a safe, structured environment.

What do you most enjoy about working with horses?

I enjoy being part of horses’ physical and mental development—whether through daily care, correct training, or preparing them to perform at their best. I also value structured routines, high standards, and contributing to a positive, calm environment.

• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I’m actively working toward developing more advanced coaching, riding management skills through the BHS pathway and Talland training, particularly in higher-level decision-making and leadership.

• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I offer a rare combination of practical yard experience, confident riding ability and horse handling, professional turnout skills, and academic knowledge in equine performance.I’m reliable, welfare-focused, calm under pressure, and able to take responsibility while still being a strong team player. I bring a genuine work ethic, high standards, and a proactive attitude to learning and progression.
