Job Description
Groom required for seven horses in a private yard where you will be part of the family. There is a mixture of competition horses in work and young stock varying from foal to 4yr old so must be confident in handling a variety of horses at various stages in their education.
All general yard duties including mucking out, handling, grooming etc
Assist in preparation and then accompany at home competitions/ training venues. So high standards of turnout required.
Riding possible depending on ability but not necessary.
Housesitting on occasion, caring for dogs and cats. Duly compensated.
Minimum Requirements
Must be reliable, consistent and have a cheerful disposition.
Must be experienced around competition horses and young stock
Be happy to take sole charge
Be competent in basic equine first aid and identifying issues early on.
Accommodation details
No accommodation at present, but cottage may be possible in the future for the right long term person.
