Experience with Horses

Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.

I have  hands-on experience working with horses across a range of different yards . My background includes daily care and management of horses, including feeding, mucking out, grooming, rug changes, and turnout. I am confident handling horses of different temperaments and experience levels. My experience also includes assisting with exercise routines, basic schooling, tacking up, and supporting horses before and after work. I am organised, punctual, and reliable I will always give my all in everything I do and am keen to learn something new and take on new tasks.

Key Skills

What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc

I am comfortable working independently as well as as part of a team I’m good at adjusting to new settings very quickly and have a focused mind wanting to get the job done at hand. I’m confident in handling all types of horses due to experience.

I have loaned horses in the past so I understand the true responsibility at hand and take pride in my work ethic always wanting to improve in whatever I’m doing. I ride 3-4 times a week mostly flatwork and some jumping I push myself to do better every time I go.

I enjoy learning and have good capability to remember things and progress.

Strengths and Weaknesses

• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?

being with horses is my happy place it never feels like work to me it just feels natural, I enjoy building bonds with horses, learning there individual traits and wellbeing. caring for horses makes me feel like I’m doing something good and gives me a real sense of purpose in my day to day life when I’m not  with horses I’m thinking about horses I want to make a positive difference in everything I do. I love the physical hands on nature of working with horses, not everyday is going to be the same there is always something new to learn

• Is there anything you’d like to improve?

I would like to progress in my riding and compete in the future I work as much as I can towards being a better jumper, I also want to learn about the industry and different avenues for jobs and horse coaching as well as being a riding instructor. I would like to get my BHS certificate and or any other education needed to be where i want to be, and stand out due to my work ethic and experience within the industry .my only weakness in my work is a lack of money not having the finances to be the best version of myself i find myself coming to a lot of  dead ends due to this which is why i want to work and learn at the same time i would like to begin to save money and get myself onto a better path.

• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?

i love what i do and i work hard at everything i want to be the best possible candidate for this job it would mean the world to me to be considered. i have no other commitments which means I’m free to work whenever and don’t need time off. i would be a good candidate because I’m a very caring person especially for animals i always put there needs before mine. I am punctual, organised, and willing to go the extra mile when needed. My positive attitude, strong work ethic, and genuine passion for working with horses mean that I am not just looking for a job, but an opportunity to contribute positively and reliably.
