Experience with Horses

Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.

I have had horses all my life owing to my mom having one before I came along. We have always had youngsters that I have been involved in training, I also currently have a quirky ex racehorse.

I have worked on various yards including in racing, stud yards, eventing, showjumping and liveries and have always enjoyed my horsey work. I can muck out very quickly and to a high standard. Working in these different areas of the horse industry has given me a mix of experience with a lot of different types of horses and ways of dealing with different situations.

Key Skills

What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc

I am good at working alone and in a team, i have handled stallions, broodmares and foals and a range of different ages ranging from easy horses to more complicated horses.

Strengths and Weaknesses

• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?

I find working with horse’s is therapeutic as well as sometimes challenging when you have  a quirky horse. I enjoy being able to look back and see how a horse has come along and changed for the better.

• Is there anything you’d like to improve?

I would like to get more experience in a different yard and continue to learn and develop more.

• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?

I am hard working and have a strong love for working with horses and enjoy learning more about different areas within the equestrian area.
