Strengths and Weaknesses

• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?

Building trust and a relationship with them. Taking care of them like they are my own and fulfilling their needs and care. Being in nature. I love organising the yard so it is run efficiently both financially and for the benefit of the owners and any other staff, clients and external Equine Support teams (vets, farriers, physio, nutrionist, chiropractors and saddlers).

Creating a happy space for horses and owners.

• Is there anything you’d like to improve?

I have a lot of experience as on more the mature side, but I feel every day with horses you are able to learn, grow and improve both existing and new skills.

I would however like to work more on my show preparation and have the opportunity to do this in terms of turn out.

• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?

Mature, great work ethic, self driven, very high standards, responsible, calm under pressure, very organised, work with the prevention rather fix when broken attitude in terms of horse husbandry and care. Have a passion for bio-mechanics of the horse and ensuring they are happy and comfortable at all times.

Excellent references.
