Job Description

Experienced Sole Charge Groom required from the end of May until September (with the option to stay on for longer), to look after two elderly horses and occasionally 4 dogs.

The employer travels a lot, usually for a few days at a time, so someone experienced and responsible is required to look after the two horses full time, and occasionally the 4 dogs when they are unable to travel with their owner. The horses have stables with open doors onto their paddock, so they wander in and out as they please.

During the months from May to September the temperature in the South of France can reach 45°C, so the horses come in for a few hours every day, and regular care must be taken to ensure the horses always have fresh water and are comfortable.

Terms will be detailed before interview/trial if travelling a distance.

Minimum Requirements

Experience as a professional groom.

Driving licence and car.

Employment references.

 

Accommodation details

Own en suite room with own private entrance within the employers home. All bills paid. Access to swimming pool and a lovely garden.

Unfortunately, the employer is unable to accept pets or own horse.
