Experience with Horses
Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.
I have over 5 years of experience working with horses. I have worked as a riding instructor for beginners and as a hippotherapy instructor. My experience includes working with riders of different levels, assisting in training horses and helping with general stable management and daily horse care.
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
I am confident working both independently and as part of a team. I am patient with horses and riders, especially beginners, and good at creating a calm and safe environment around horses. I am organised, reliable and comfortable handling daily stable routines and working with different types of horses. I am also stress-resistant and able to stay calm and focused in difficult or unexpected situations.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
What I enjoy most is that working with horses always gives the opportunity to learn something new. I enjoy gaining new knowledge and sharing my experience with others. I also simply enjoy being around horses and being part of the equestrian world.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I would like to continue improving my riding skills and gaining more experience with different types of horses and training methods.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I have a diverse international experience working with horses in different countries including Ukraine, Slovakia, Lithuania and Bulgaria. This has allowed me to learn different approaches to horse care, riding instruction and stable management. I am motivated, reliable and eager to continue developing my skills while contributing my knowledge and experience.
