Experience with Horses

Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.

Young equestrian with 14 years of riding experience, raised around horses thanks to my mum’s lifelong passion for them. I am committed to building a professional career in the equine industry, with a particular interest in natural horsemanship and
rehabilitation. I bring a strong work ethic and a calm, patient, safety‐focused approach to working with horses of all types.

Equine Experience
 Horse owner since 3yrs of age
 Dressage trained up to medium level
 Show jumping confidently up to 1.1m
 Backing and producing young and inexperienced horses
 Freelance riding and grooming experience
 Strong knowledge of equine handling, training and management
 Calm, confident, safety-focused attitude around horses
 Ride, school and exercise a variety of horses
 Grooming for competitions and everyday care
 Backing and producing young horses
 Assisting owners with training, groundwork and confidence building
 Teaching inexperienced riders including SEN children

Work Experience – David Sinclair, Veterinary Surgeon\ Specialist in Equine Lameness
 Assisted with routine checks and lameness assessments
 Gained practical understanding of equine anatomy, movement and common
injuries
 Observed diagnostic procedures and rehabilitation approaches

Key Skills

What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc

Particularly good with young horses but have experience all round.

Strengths and Weaknesses

• What do you most enjoy about working with horses? I enjoy mostly working with them and understanding how they think and approach different situations.

• Is there anything you’d like to improve? No not really I just want to further my experience

• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker? I am enthusiastic and passionate and I have been running my own yard doing backing so I am able to manage a whole yard alone.
