Experience with Horses

Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.

I have been riding horses for the last ten years and have been working at the same yard for the last six years. I have experience with having my own horses as well as working on a yard full time with over 20 horses with some of those days being on the yard on my own in charge

I am in the process of completing my groom apprenticeship this April

Key Skills

What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc

I have experience helping to brake in horses

I have clipped and have also been trained to plait but will most likely be a little rusty plaiting as I haven’t had to do it in a while

I can confidently lunge and long rein horses and can also school and hack if needed

Strengths and Weaknesses

• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?

I love caring and building trust between each horse I work with making sure they are cared for with the upmost respect and love

• Is there anything you’d like to improve?

I would like to improve on working with different types of horses as I’ve only been working at the same yard for over six years as well as equine collage

• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?

I am very hard working and have a very high standard with every task and job I am given to do I am respectful and am good working in a team on my own and in high pressure environments
