Future Requirements
• What would you like to do or gain in your next job?
In my next role, I want to transition my two years of hands-on experience from RWITC Pune into a top-tier European racing environment. I am eager to adapt to Ireland’s world-class thoroughbred training standards, master new stable management techniques, and deepen my skills in equine health and specialized nutrition. Ultimately, I want to gain valuable international experience, prove myself as a highly reliable asset to an Irish yard, and contribute to the high-performance culture that Ireland’s racing industry is globally known for.
• Do you need accommodation?
Yes, as I will be relocating from India, I will require accommodation. I would be highly interested in any on-site housing or staff accommodation options the yard provides. Staying on or close to the property is ideal for me, as it ensures I can easily adapt to the early morning training schedules, track work, and late-yard routines without any transit delays.
• Do you have any special requirements for any animals you wish to bring with you?
No, I do not have any special requirements as I will not be bringing any animals or pets with me to Ireland.
• Do you have any ongoing commitments?
No, I have no ongoing personal or professional commitments that would impact my ability to relocate to Ireland or dedicate myself fully to this role.
• Do you have any holidays booked that an employer needs to know of?
No, I do not have any holidays booked or planned. My schedule is entirely clear, and I am ready to focus fully on the relocation process and starting work at the yard.
Experience with Horses
Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.
I have two years of intensive, hands-on experience working with thoroughbred racehorses at the Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC) in Pune. My daily responsibilities centered around high-standard equine care and maintaining a safe, disciplined yard environment.
On a day-to-day basis, I was responsible for mucking out stables to maintain strict hygiene standards, managing precise feeding and nutrition schedules, and executing thorough grooming routines suitable for inspection and race days. A major part of my role involved safely handling and moving high-performance horses between the stables, paddocks, and training tracks, as well as assisting with saddling and preparation for track work.
Beyond general handling, I have developed a strong eye for basic equine health observation, allowing me to monitor the horses closely and quickly report any unusual behavior, stress, or potential injuries to the trainers. I am highly accustomed to the physical demands, early mornings, and strict safety protocols required in a professional racing environment, and I am eager to bring this work ethic to an Irish yard.
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
I am particularly good at handling high-performance thoroughbreds safely and keeping them disciplined in busy yard and track environments. My grooming and turnout skills are very precise, and I take great pride in presenting horses to a high standard for inspection.
Professionally, I am a great team player who coordinates smoothly with others during hectic race-day or training routines, but I am also completely trustworthy when working alone to manage feeding, stable mucking, and health observations. I bring strong physical stamina, a sharp eye for equine safety, and a reliable work ethic to the yard.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
For me, it’s the combination of working with such intelligent, powerful animals and the rewarding nature of yard life. I genuinely enjoy the daily routine of keeping them healthy, groomed to a high standard, and thriving. Building that daily connection where a high-performance horse trusts your handling is easily the most fulfilling part of the job.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I want to improve my technical knowledge of top-tier racehorse conditioning and yard supervision. My two years at RWITC gave me great practical experience in core stable duties and handling high-performance horses safely. However, I want to build on that by mastering the world-class training systems used in Ireland, taking on more responsibility in the yard, and eventually moving into a supervisor or assistant manager role.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I bring two years of full-time, hands-on experience handling thoroughbred racehorses in a highly disciplined racing environment. I am already deeply familiar with the daily realities of yard operations—from precise feeding and mucking out to track-work preparation and safe paddock management. I am physically fit, completely free of outside commitments, and highly motivated to adapt to Ireland’s world-class training systems. If you hire me, you are getting someone who respects the horses, respects the routine, and is ready to work hard.
