Future Requirements

• What would you like to do or gain in your next job?

I am looking for a role that allows me to continue growing both professionally and personally while making a meaningful contribution to a team and business. I enjoy dynamic environments, working with both horses and people, and taking on new challenges that allow me to expand my skills and experience.

I would love the opportunity to combine my equine background with my strengths in leadership, client relations, and operations, while gaining exposure to new environments and ways of working. Travel is something I am particularly passionate about, and I would welcome opportunities that allow me to work in different locations, meet new people, and broaden my experience.

Ultimately, I am looking for a position where I can build long-term relationships, continue learning, take on increasing responsibility, and contribute positively to the growth and success of the business while growing alongside it.

• Do you need accommodation?

Yes.

• Do you have any special requirements for any animals you wish to bring with you?

Not at this moment.

• Do you have any ongoing commitments?

I am currently employed and also operate a small pet and house-sitting business. Both are flexible, and I am available for travel, relocation, and long-term opportunities.

• Do you have any holidays booked that an employer needs to know of?

Not currently.

Experience with Horses

Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.

I have been fortunate to build a career around both horses and people, with experience spanning riding instruction, working riding, trail guiding, and yearling, sales, and auction preparation. I enjoy the variety that comes with the equine industry and have worked with a wide range of horses, riders, and clients throughout my career.

I am passionate about good horsemanship, horse welfare, and creating positive experiences for both horses and people. Whether working independently, managing a team, preparing horses for sales, teaching riders, or guiding clients on the trail, I bring a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to adapt to whatever is required.

My background in management, hospitality, and client relations has also given me excellent communication and organisational skills, allowing me to contribute beyond the yard when needed. I am always eager to learn, travel, and take on new opportunities that allow me to continue growing both personally and professionally.

Key Skills

What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc

Young Horse Handling • Yearling, Sales & Auction Preparation • Riding Instruction & Coaching • Working Rider • Trail Guiding • Stable & Yard Management • Equine Welfare & Daily Care • Team Leadership & Staff Management • Client Relations & Guest Experience • Event & Operations Coordination • Independent & Team-Based Work • Adaptable, Travel-Ready & Quick to Learn

Strengths and Weaknesses

• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?

What I enjoy most is the partnership and trust that develops between horses and people. No two horses, riders, or situations are ever quite the same, which is one of the things I love most about the equine industry. I find it incredibly rewarding to help build confidence, understanding, and positive experiences for both horse and rider. One of my favourite aspects of teaching and coaching is seeing that moment when everything suddenly clicks, that “lightbulb moment” when a horse understands what is being asked of them or a rider gains confidence and understanding. Being able to play a small part in that journey and watch horse and rider progress together is something I find incredibly fulfilling.

• Is there anything you’d like to improve?

One area I would like to continue improving is my exposure to different disciplines and ways of doing things within the equine industry. Every yard, trainer, and professional has something valuable to teach, and I enjoy learning new techniques, management systems, and approaches that help me expand my knowledge and become more versatile in my work.

• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?

I offer a unique combination of equine experience, management experience, and strong people skills. Alongside my background in riding instruction, working riding, trail guiding, and yearling, sales, and auction preparation, I also bring experience in leadership, client relations, hospitality, food and beverage, events, and operations. This diverse background has given me the ability to adapt quickly, communicate effectively, and confidently work with both horses and people in a variety of environments.

I am reliable, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative, whether working independently or as part of a team. I enjoy wearing multiple hats, learning new skills, and contributing wherever needed. Most importantly, I take pride in being someone employers can depend on, approaching every role with professionalism, a positive attitude, and a willingness to go the extra mile. I genuinely care about doing a good job, supporting those around me, and contributing to the success of the team and business.
