Experience with Horses
An experienced groom/rider, currently working as a personal groom/rider with 10 eventing horses, general yard work, mucking out, grooming, exercise, bathing, plaiting, prepping for events. Previously based as a Civilian Support Rider for the Household Cavalry exercising military horses and assisting with the training of military competition horses, bringing on youngsters in all disciplines, alongside a role as Head Groom at Sandhurst Equestrian Centre, overseeing the care of all riding club ponies, coaching, leading hacks, daily field checks, farrier and veterinary apts.

Building up a 1-1 bond and connection over time both on the ground and in the saddle. Watching personalities develop and horses progress due to the effort i’m putting in

I’d like the opportunity to compete more, but I have my own horse so this is not a job demand

I have such a broad experience, both on the yard whether it comes to general mucking out and maintenance, sole charge, or managing a team, as well as riding and handling many different horses, proven experience bringing on green horses with references to prove, and outside of the box, being able to build BS SJ courses, dressage arenas, deal with the maintenance of fencing, yard upkeep, stables. I feel like my experience covers every aspect of an equestrian role
