Future Requirements
• What would you like to do or gain in your next job?
I am looking for an opportunity to combine my lifelong passion for horses with my interest in working outdoors. Besides riding, I genuinely enjoy being involved in the everyday care and management of horses and simply being around them. I also really love guiding guests on outrides and letting them discover nature on horseback.
• Do you need accommodation?
Preferably yes
• Do you have any special requirements for any animals you wish to bring with you?
One dog (australian shepherd)
• Do you have any ongoing commitments?
I am currently studying Equine Osteopathy at ICREO and have successfully completed my first year. The programme will continue for another two years and requires attendance in the Netherlands for two days approximately every six weeks, from September to April.
All dates are scheduled well in advance, which allows me to organise my travel early and ensure that my work commitments are not affected. I am flexible and happy to arrange travel around the needs of the job, so this would not impact my reliability or availability.
• Do you have any holidays booked that an employer needs to know of?
No
Experience with Horses
Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.
I currently ride several times a week and am actively involved in the daily care and management of seven horses, including feeding, mucking out, performing stable duties, monitoring their well-being, and supporting the day-to-day running of the stable. Besides flatwork in the arena, I enjoy going out on trail rides and exploring nature on horseback.
Over the years, I have gained practical experience assisting as a groom at both show jumping and harness racing competitions. My responsibilities included braiding, grooming and washing, tacking up, cooling down after performances, and supporting the general care and well-being of the horses throughout the events.
Recently, I spent three weeks volunteering at Hwange Horseback Safaris in Zimbabwe, where I worked in a ranch environment and was responsible for horse care, riding, monitoring horse health, administering medication, and assisting guests during guided rides, while also contributing to the overall guest experience through hospitality and day-to-day support.

Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
What I enjoy most about working with horses is that every day is different. I love being around horses and animals, and working with them brings me a lot of happiness. I enjoy building a connection with each horse and being involved in their daily care and wellbeing.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I am always keen to improve my experience within the equine industry and to develop my skills in different areas of horse-related work. I enjoy being around horses in various environments, and I am open to different opportunities, as I value learning and gaining new experiences.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker
I am reliable, hardworking, and genuinely motivated to work with horses in a professional environment. I have hands-on experience in different equine settings, which has taught me to stay calm, adaptable, and attentive to the needs of each horse.
In addition, my current studies in equine osteopathy have given me a deeper understanding of equine anatomy, movement, and overall health. This helps me to observe horses more attentively and recognise signs of discomfort or imbalance, allowing me to respond appropriately and support their wellbeing.
I am eager to learn and continuously improve, and I take responsibility seriously, whether working independently or as part of a team. Most importantly, I have a genuine passion for horses, which reflects in the care and attention I give in every situation.
