Future Requirements

• What would you like to do or gain in your next job?

In my next role, I’m looking for a long‑term, stable position as part of a live‑in estate couple. I want a role where I can combine equine care, household organisation, guest support, and daily estate routines. I enjoy structured work, keeping things running smoothly, and being part of a professional environment where high standards matter.

• Do you need accommodation?

Yes — as part of a live‑in couple. A self‑contained cottage or annex is preferred.

• Do you have any special requirements for any animals you wish to bring with you?

We have one bulldog, Nessa, who is quiet, clean, and well‑behaved.
I would also like to bring my 20‑year‑old retired mare, who is calm, easy to manage, and very low‑maintenance. If on‑site stabling isn’t available, I’m more than happy to find a suitable livery space nearby, so this is completely flexible.

• Do you have any ongoing commitments?

No ongoing commitments that affect employment.

• Do you have any holidays booked that an employer needs to know of?

I have travel booked in September 2026 due to our relocation back to the UK.

Experience with Horses

I’ve worked with horses my entire career, including racing yards, pre‑training, and private equestrian estates. I’ve previously ridden racehorses and my own mare, and while I haven’t ridden in a few years, I’m very open to riding again. I’m confident with youngsters, fit horses, sensitive types, and horses in structured programmes. My experience includes:

• Daily care, feeding, watering, and stable routines
• Bringing horses in and out
• Rugging, booting, and preparing horses for exercise
• Riding — confident, balanced, and experienced with a wide range of horses; open to riding again
• Handling youngsters and fit competition or racing types
• Mucking out, sweeping, and maintaining a clean, organised yard
• Tack cleaning, equipment care, and presentation
• Assisting with vet, farrier, and routine appointments
• Supporting arena maintenance and daily yard flow
• Long‑term care of my own retired mare, ensuring her comfort and wellbeing

I’m comfortable running a yard independently or working as part of a team. I’m organised, calm, and consistent — and I take pride in keeping horses and facilities presented to a high standard.

Key Skills

• Equine handling — calm, safe, experienced with varied temperaments
• Yard organisation — clean, structured, efficient daily routines
• Tack cleaning and presentation — attention to detail
• Child‑friendly support — I’m more than happy to help with childcare and naturally confident around children
• Household support — laundry, housekeeping, guest preparation, organisation
• Digital scheduling & admin — managing routines, appointments, and daily structure
• Working independently — reliable, proactive, and able to manage a full workload
• Working as part of a couple — strong communication and coordination with Aaron
• Pet care — confident with dogs and general household animals

Strengths and Weaknesses

• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?

I love the routine, the structure, and the connection you build with each horse. I enjoy keeping a yard running smoothly, presenting everything well, and being part of an environment where care and consistency matter. Riding has always been something I’ve enjoyed, and I’m open to bringing that back into my daily work.

• Is there anything you’d like to improve?

I’m always looking to expand my skills, especially in advanced grooming, show turnout, and further developing my riding with more technical or performance‑focused work. I’m also taking steps to strengthen my formal housekeeping knowledge to support estate roles more fully.

• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?

I bring a rare combination of strong equine experience, household organisation, guest readiness, and daily estate support. I’m reliable, calm, and detail‑focused, and I thrive in roles where high standards and consistency matter. As part of a couple, Aaron and I offer a balanced, professional partnership — covering horses, housekeeping, grounds, machinery, water systems, and estate operations with minimal supervision. We work well independently and together, and we bring stability, maturity, and long‑term commitment.
