Experience with Horses
Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
Turning out, mucking out, grooming, leading. lunging, hoof picking and tacking up. Good at working alone independently and also working with others in a team.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
Being around horses makes me feel happy, relaxed and calm and gives me the motivation to work and succeed. I enjoy caring for the horses and ensuring their needs are met.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I am able to plait horses hair, however, would like to improve my skills in French and Dutch plaits.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I have been around horses from the age of 3 years old, and started helping out and working the yard from the age of 12. I have level 2 qualification in Equine as well as Level 2 Animal Care Management qualification with a pass in both. I am ambitious and determined to succeed in working with horses and with this am willing and keen to learn and grow. I am hard working, reliable, have great time management, am able to adjust and above all will care for the horses with all of my passion. This is the career pathway I wish to follow long term.
