I have worked on yards since i was 13 years old and had loan horses over the years. I have assisted as a groom at stayaway shows with show jumpers. I have studied Equine Management at Derby College and then furthered in that at Brackenhurst, Nottingham Trent University. Earlier this year (2026) I lived in Donegal, Ireland running a small livery yard.

What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
I am efficient and a perfectionist. I enjoy working alone but also work really well in a team. I am good at plaiting up and prepping for shows and I am very organised so I love the day to day jobs around a yard.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I love working around the personalities of different horses and working outside all the time. I love the teamwork aspect of working on a yard.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I would like more experience on bigger standard yards as I am mostly used to working on rural smaller livery yards and environments so I would love to learn more about the competition prepping.

I have experience from many different types of yards and educational environments that I can apply to future job positions
