Experience with Horses

Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.

I have grown up with horses working weekends and riding after school at a polo yard and doing pony club activities. Before working full time for over 4 years now in eventing for 4*&5* rider and have been a yard manager for the best part of a year now am looking to move back to Cambridge. I have ridden to 2* and novice eventing and BS newcomers as well as having backed and produced horses of my own and clients horses. I hold my level 3 (completed with distinction) equine care and management with riding as well as pony club tests and working towards my BE CC L2* coaching. I have lots of experience driving 3.5t and looking to do my HGV soon. I have recently redone my first aid training. I also have regularly babysat a now 8month old baby for a client.

I pride myself in being able to turn horses out to a high standard and have groomed at shows with up to 12 horses.

Key Skills

What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc

Working alone or in a team, show grooming and riding young horses-competing

Strengths and Weaknesses

• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?

Getting to know every one of them and seeing them progress and grow up

• Is there anything you’d like to improve?

My teaching ( in the process of doing qualifications)

• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?

I’m passionate, hard working and I take pride in my work and like to go the extra mile as though the horses and yard are my own ( I like a tidy clean organised yard and am meticulous)
