Had horses all my life, worked professionally with them for 6 years. worked on a variety of yards including racing, eventing, livery, dressage and riding schools.
confident handling most horses.
have my level 2 equine management/riding qualification with the aim to get my bhs exams
can do all general yard duties –
. mucking out/skipping out.
. turn out/catching in.
. waters/hay
. poopicking – can drive quad/learning to drive tractors
. Harrow arenas
. Rugs for appropriate weather conditions.
. plaiting
. Clipping – still learning
. helping with pony camps teaching the kids there way around the horses/yard wether it’s mucking out, riding, general knowledge on tack or points of horse
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
I’m good at working alone but equally happy to work as part of a team. I’m happy to get stuck in with the job either way.
