Experience with Horses
Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
I’m paticularily good at working alone or within a team, due to having horses since a young age I have gained lots of knowledge on the caring for horses and always putting their health first.
Previously, I have also helped back/break young horses which I am currently doing two of my own as i thoroughly enjoyed this process.
I also compete on my own horse, so I have knowledge in the getting ready for a show/making sure everything is organised and ready to go. And also everything on a show day
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
Building a relationship with the horses and learning about them more and more each day.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I’d like to improve my knowledge on basic injuries like lumps/bumps and treatments necessary.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I think I should be considered as I have had many years of experience around horses doing things from, showing to breaking young horses to handling foals at a previous workplace.
I also make sure the horses well-being and happiness is always important to me as it is a necessity to ensure the best future and quality of life for the horses.
So I think I should be considered because of my previous knowledge and experience in the horse industry
