Experience with Horses
Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.
-I have worked with younger and older horses, in many different disciplines. Mainly showjumping.
-I worked in a team with many others but also had the responsibility of a stable all by myself. So I’m really flexible when it comes to the work environment.
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
-I’m good at helping others with their tasks, as well as leading if needed. I’m used to all the daily work with horses, so I know what is expected and that the hours are unpredictable and long at times.
-I love working with horses from the ground and riding is also such a big part of my dream.
-Every part of working with the horse is important, and I see myself as someone who is always willing to put the horses first.
– I’m a passionate and driven person. Who does not stop when things get hard, but looks for solutions.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
– I enjoy watching the behaviour of horses. After a long day seeing how grateful they are towards you, and getting the reward of making them feel happy by putting in work. That includes making sure they have a clean environment and good mental stimulation.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
– I can be a bit out of order sometimes. A bit forgetful or take to much on at once. Which is something I need to learn to balance. But have come a far way.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
– I think everyone deserves a fair chance, and I would like to think I have a lot of good qualities. But like everyone else also something to learn. I am willing to put in work and learn. That’s why I think employers should consider me.
