Experience with Horses

Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.

I’ve been riding my whole life, mostly western but some English. I spent over a year working at a polo club leading trail rides, this job taught me so much about horse care, feeding, managing, health and so much more. I worked in a team who kept up a 50+ horse ranch doing all the manual labor as well, I can work with fences, fix minor things and do heavy lifting. I also learned how to manage horses in a trail/hack scenario as well, ensuring the safety of my horses and riders was my top priority.

Key Skills

What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc

I work really well with others, I can work alone as well but I’m very social. Im good at plaiting, tacking/untacking, clipping, wrapping, handling whatever level of horse, overall I’m easy going and a quick learner so if there’s something I don’t know I can pick it up quick.

Strengths and Weaknesses

• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?

Just being around them and learning all their individual personalities and quirks. I adore building bonds with horses it feels so special.

• Is there anything you’d like to improve?

I would like to improve my polo playing skills and also my jumping skills.

• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?

I have extraordinary people skills, I’ve never met a stranger and I could talk to anyone about anything which makes me good in new environments!
