Experience with Horses

Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.

I have a solid foundation in equine care and handling, built on a lifelong passion for horses. I am fully confident in all essential yard duties, including high-quality mucking out, turn-out and bring-in, grooming, picking feet, feeding, and rugging. Although I have spent recent years working in a different sector, my fundamental knowledge of horse safety, behavior, and care remains very strong.
Through my non-equine work experience, I have developed excellent transferable skills that are vital for a busy yard: a relentless work ethic, absolute reliability under pressure, time management, and physical stamina. I am a calm, confident, and patient handler who adapts quickly to new routines. I am fully focused on bringing this professional drive back into the equestrian industry, and I am ready to prove my capabilities on the ground from day one.

Key Skills

What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc

I am particularly good at working both independently and as part of a team, as I am highly reliable, self-motivated, and adapt quickly to specific yard routines. On the ground, I excel at the daily, essential aspects of horse care, such as turnout, mucking out to high standards, grooming, and maintaining a clean, safe yard environment.
I am a calm, patient, and confident handler, which makes me very effective at working with a variety of horse temperaments. Additionally, my time spent in other industries has given me excellent non-equine skills, including strong time-management, problem-solving, and a resilient work ethic under pressure. I pride myself on being someone who sees what needs to be done and does it efficiently.
