Future Requirements
• What would you like to do or gain in your next job?
I’d like a more permanent role in a yard where the yard and horses feel like family! Id like to gain even more experience with different horses and different yard environments. Maybe go to some shows and get even better at the skills I already have and gain some more along the way!
• Do you need accommodation?
No I don’t need any accommodation.
• Do you have any special requirements for any animals you wish to bring with you?
I don’t have any animals I need to bring with me!
• Do you have any ongoing commitments?
I have another yard in the later afternoons currently and sometimes do some ad hoc holiday cover.
• Do you have any holidays booked that an employer needs to know of?
None as of right now.
Experience with Horses
I have been around and riding horses since a very young age, I have also been working with horses since I was about 15/16. Ever since I was around 16 I have always had sole charge roles as well as working in a team in busier yard environments. I’ve worked on livery yards to private at home yards and many more!
Key Skills
I’m particularly good at working alone and also with others, handing all types of horses. I’m also good at noticing what needs to be done on a yard rather than needing to be told. I’d say my key skill is my organisation and the ability I have to keep everything, including the horses, looking to a high standard whether that’s when the yard is quiet or when we’re busy!
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I enjoy the different horses and people you meet. The difference in every yard and what comes with the job!
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I’d like to improve on my clipping skills and also grow my knowledge with horses even more.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I’m hard working, reliable, have plenty of experience with a range of different horses and yards. I also have a positive outlook on every situation and will always go above and beyond to make sure high standards are met within my work environment. I always put the horses needs first and will ensure they have the utmost care.
