Experience with Horses
Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.
I have been around horses since i was 6 years old, i’ve owned my own horse for almost 7 years and have loaned before that. I have been entrusted to take care of others horses on my yard and I used to volunteer for riding schools.
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
I am good at working alone and with others. I am particularly good at patience with horses and can work with a large variety of temperaments on the ground. I have prepared my horse for shows in the past and can do this as required.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I enjoy being around them and working with them even without riding.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I’d like to improve my riding but i don’t always find it’s necessary to work with horses while riding. I am a talented rider but tend to lack confidence every now and again.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I am incredibly passionate about horses and have been since I was very young, I hope to spend the rest of my life around horses and dedicate that same life to caring for them.
