Experience with Horses

Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.

I used to have horses when i was younger with my friend, from the ages from 5-13? I used to do all the jobs around the yard to mucking out haybales etc.

I have some experience in riding but I think I just need to get back into it again. Have ridden recently whilst on holiday.

Key Skills

What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc

I work well both alone or in a team, I am good at mucking out as well as basic skills of riding and handling horses big or small.

I am good at cleaning and building up relationships with people.

Strengths and Weaknesses

• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?

The bond you can create with them with the trust that develops over time. I love caring for them and learning about each individual horses personalities and making sure they are happy and healthy.

I also love being hands on from grooming and general care to riding and spending time around them. Being around horses has always been something I love and I find it rewarding to continue learning, developing my skills and understanding them better.

• Is there anything you’d like to improve?

Probably my riding skills/ skills in general

• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?

I believe employers should consider me because I am hardworking, reliable and passionate about learning new skills. Having grown up around horses until I was around 13, I have a genuine love for animals and understand the importance of patience, care and responsibility. I am not afraid of hard work, enjoy hands-on roles and am always willing to get stuck in and help wherever needed. I bring a positive attitude, a strong work ethic and a real enthusiasm for developing my experience. I would bring commitment, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn to any team, and I would make the most of every opportunity given to me.
