Future Requirements

• What would you like to do or gain in your next job?

I would like to continue developing as a show-jumping rider, working with quality horses and gaining more experience in competition. I enjoy training young or complicated horses, improving their rideability, and developing their potential.

Horse welfare and correct training are very important to me, and I would like to work with people who share these values. Ultimately, I want to keep improving, contribute to a good team, and build a long-term future in the sport.

• Do you need accommodation?

Ideally yes.

• Do you have any special requirements for any animals you wish to bring with you?

No, it’s just myself.

• Do you have any ongoing commitments?

I am currently actively seeking for new opportunities, so I wouldn’t need more than a couple of weeks to get started.

• Do you have any holidays booked that an employer needs to know of?

No

Experience with Horses

I am a professional show-jumping rider and coach from Spain, with experience in professional yards in Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, Japan and China. I have competed up to 1.35 m in show jumping and Prix St. Georges in dressage, and represented Spain at the European Championships in Showjumping.

My experience includes riding and training young and experienced horses, producing horses for sale, competition preparation, and improving rideability through flatwork and gymnastics. I also have experience coaching riders from beginner level up to 1.20 m, as well as daily horse care and stable management.

I am particularly interested in developing horses correctly, understanding their individual needs, and improving their way of going without compromising their welfare. I am comfortable working independently or as part of a team and adapting to different horses, training systems and professional environments.

Key Skills

– Professionalism and reliability: I take my responsibilities seriously. If I commit to doing something, you can trust that it will get done properly without needing to chase me.

– Communication and teamwork: I communicate clearly, am easy to work with, and value good relationships within a team. I am comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for my work.

– Flexibility and commitment: I am adaptable and willing to go the extra mile to get the best results for the horses and the team. I take pride in my work and care about doing things properly, not just getting them done.

– Biomechanics, ethology and osteopathy knowledge: My understanding of how horses move, learn and function helps me improve their rideability and way of going. I understand not only how to achieve a result but also why certain approaches work, which allows me to explain training concepts clearly to other riders.

– Eye for detail: I pay close attention to the small details that make a difference in a horse’s training, comfort and performance. I am analytical and always looking for ways to improve the quality of my work.

– Problem-solving and difficult horses: I am particularly good at working with challenging, sensitive or difficult horses, identifying the underlying issues affecting their rideability and helping them improve through patient, correct and consistent training.

Strengths and Weaknesses

• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?

I particularly enjoy the daily training of the horses and seeing them develop. I find it rewarding to understand each horse as an individual and help them progress through correct, consistent training. I also enjoy competing and working towards shared goals with a team.

• Is there anything you’d like to improve?

I am always looking to improve my riding and training skills, learn from experienced professionals, and gain more competition experience with quality horses. I am open to feedback and believe there is always something new to learn, both in the saddle and in the way we understand and train horses.

• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?

I bring international experience, a strong technical foundation in both show jumping and dressage, and the ability to work with a wide variety of horses. Having worked in several countries and different professional environments, I am adaptable, hardworking and comfortable taking responsibility. I combine competitive experience with a genuine interest in correct training, horse welfare and continuous improvement. I want to do my job well, contribute to the team and help every horse reach its potential.
