Experience with Horses
I am 43 years old, I have my BHSAI & I have worked in the equestrian industry for approx 15 years. I have a large amount of experience with competition horses & hunters. I am a competent rider with a wide variety of experience. I have competed to BD Medium level & BE100 level. I am competent at schooling both green youngsters & older more trained horses. I understand the importance of hacking out & getting eventers / hunters fit. I am particulary strong at schooling horses on the flat. I understand how to plan & vary a horse’s work / fitness programme, in order to promote optimum performance & soundness.
I am fully competent at all yard duties & I keep a tidy, organised yard. I can clip, plait & pull to a high standard. I have experience working on private, family yards & competitions yards . I am perfectly capable of running a yard to a professional standard. I have the ability to work as part of a team & also as an individual / sole charge. I particulary enjoy working on private, family yards or smaller competition yards.
I am a keen rider so any opportunities to produce and / or compete horses would be fabulous – although this is not essential.
Ideally I am looking to stay in the North West but I am prepared to consider other areas for the right job.
I am hardworking, dedicated, reliable & honest. I have an upbeat personality with a good sense of humour. I drive a trailer competently & I am willing to take a HGV test if required. References available upon request.
I have a female, mini sausage dog who is adorable. I do not currently have my own horse but I do plan to buy one in the future – so I would like a position that can accommodate my own horse, or a near by livery yard with a decent arena.
