Experience with Horses
I have worked with/been around horses since I was born as my grandfather and mother were both grooms as well. I have worked in a selection of yards learning different spheres to broaden my knowledge as much as possible. I have mainly worked in hunting, point to point and eventing. I have done a few stints in family yards as sole groom, polo and stud work.
My Key Skills would be working alone/sole charge, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, , handling/riding young horses, schooling, showing initiative when working. I have a natural ability of understanding horses.
My non-equine skills include working in admin, being able to talk to people of all varieties.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses? I enjoy the reward you get everyday when working with horses as no day is the same and everyday you learn something new.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve? Id like to improve in more specialised areas.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker? As first and foremost my duty of care is to the horse above anything.
