Experience with Horses
I have worked with horses for the last 22 years. I have my BHS stage 2 and NVQ level 2 in horsecare and riding. I have worked with a variety of horses and have experience in backing, young horses, show horses (mainly D’s) low level dressage horses, hunters, riding club horses, ponies and have had some experience with natural horsemanship. I have evented at PreNovice and shown my mare at county level. Currently I am working as a groom/rider at a professional show jumping yard

Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses? Horses has been my passion since I was a child, I enjoy all aspects of working with horses from the care to the riding and building up a bond/trust with the horses I care for.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve? I would like to improve on my riding by having regular training,
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker? Being an older groom (38) I’ve had a lot of experience working with horses, I know that this is the industry I want to be in. I am reliable and hardworking and put my job first. I have my own car . I’m happy to work with children. Being 5ft3 and light I can ride children’s ponies but also happy on large horses

I have a 3 year old working cocker spaniel called Bridget and I also have a retired 20 year old mare (but would consider looking for a nearby retirement livery for her if there is no space for own horse)
