Experience with Horses
I have worked with and ridden horses from a young age. I have a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Horse Management, a BSc in Equine Science and my BHS Stages 1 & 2 in riding and care.
I have previously worked in riding schools, show jumping, dressage and therapeutic riding schools. I am confident handling all types of horses and with all yard duties.
I am looking for either yard based or non yard based work, full time and permanent.
Key Skills
I am confident working alone or in a team. I have experience managing a small yard and team of staff. I can clip, pull, trim, lunge, long-line, ride on the flat and jump. I particularly enjoy equine rehabilitation and fittening work. I also am experienced in taking bookings, keeping records and managing stock. I am computer literate and have a good telephone manner.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I enjoy getting to know the horses and creating a bond as well as taking care of their needs as if they were my own horses. I also enjoy training them and seeing them improve.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I would like to improve my riding skills as it has been a while since I had regular lessons.
