Experience with Horses
I have worked on a wide variety of yards including dressage, showjumping, eventing, hunt, young horse breaker yard and have some experience with broodmares and foals. I am able to carry out day to day tasks to a high standard as well as turn horses out to high standard. I have my own horses which one I’ve reproduce after being sat in a field to currently competing at novice dressage and jump 90cm courses jumping higher at home. Second most recently taken on project horse aiming to take out hunting and eventing as has lots of potential
Key Skills
I work well alone and in a team always fit in around people I work with. Can clip, plait, trim, ride, good organisation skills. I am able to work calmly under pressure and more stressful situations.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
No day with horses Is the same getting to know each horses personality is amazing it self and them to see them doing well at shows or in their training knowing you’ve putting working into the care and that progress itself is rewarding to see.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
Although I feel happy and confident I’m able to turn horses out to high standards there’s always something to improve on and prefect. When it comes to ridden work I would like to improve my flat work and be able to preform more lateral work and progress up my dressage levels.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I’ve been working with horses since I was 13 and ever since then they’ve come first. No matter what horse I’ve worked with I’ve always treated them like my own and wouldn’t do anything I wouldn’t do with my own. I’m a proactive person that always likes to keep myself busy and and be a fun person to be around.
