Experience with Horses
I have been riding since the age of 5 and in my earlier years competed in all disciplines. Since then I have mainly concentrated on Dressage with my own horse whom I have competed up to Advanced Medium; with the foundations of PSG. Trained with several GP riders over the years.
I have 2 degrees, which are both equine related, one of which is a Masters in Veterinary Physiotherapy.
I have worked on hunting, showjumping and dressage yards in the past. I have worked as freelance groom for both GBR and USA at 3* dressage competitions all over the world until recently.
Yard Mananger for 3.5 years for international GP riders then freelance competition groom for USA Paralympic dressage team.
In general I have experience working with all types of horses from hunters, show horses, jumpers, dressage, young stock, stallions and mares in foal.
*Happy to go to competitions here and there but not all the time.*
Key Skills
Sole Charge, team player, good at taking on responsibility, turnout, plaiting, clipping, handling stallions, and young stock, confident rider, perfectionist, cleanly, bandaging, rehabilitation, lunging, show preparation, helpful, friendly and a good sense of humor.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I love being an influential part of a team and being able to put everything into the horses day to day routine to improve their performance and well being.
I thoroughly enjoy being a part of top horses manement program and seeing the results in competition.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I’d like to extend my knowledge into different disciplines.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
