Experience with Horses
I have owned and been riding horses since the age of 8, I used to have horses at home so am used to sole charge of looking after them. I have worked at many yards but am currently working at a flat race horse yard as a exercise riding in reading where I ride a difference between just backed 1 year olds to 8-9 year olds that know there job. I own my own horse who is 17.3hh ( so no issue with the height of horses ) and I am looking to compete him in showjumping. I have competed horses nearly all my life in everything from mounted games to all day shows. I would say my happiest snd most confident is in cross country as jumping is my passion and my strong point.
Key Skills
I would say my skills are cross country and show jumping as have done that nearly all my life. I can clip/ plait / groom to a very high standard. I am confident so will give e everything and any horse a go with no complaints. I work well alone and I’m company so can be thrown into anything.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I most enjoy the feeling you get when riding, the fact it always takes you away from any issues and is always a distraction. I always feel like I’ve achieved something and I always feel like I learn something new everyday around horses.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I would like to improve my skills so would like to go higher and get more qualification. Also would like to improve on simple things like getting highes in competitions and qualify for more, being better at mane pulling. Most importantly would like to improve my riding as I feel although that can always be improved!
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I feel although I have a lot to give, I can work alone and I’m company. I am very confident around horses and handling horses, I will always take care of any animals and will always put them first and I feel although I will always listen and take it what people have to say as I am always looking to learn and built.

I would like to gain more qualifications, confidence and learn new things as a new jobs always allows that.

I currently am employed but am looking for somewhere new to learn more as feel like I am not going anywhere at current job so would have to give them 2 weeks notice.
