Hi,
I’m Rachael, 24 years old from Lincolnshire! I have been around horses since I was 7 years old and loved it ever since! I studied equine management for 5 years and have an FdSc degree in equine sports science and coaching completed at Riseholme college aswell as studying BSC in equine science at bishop Burton so am now looking for a job to enhance my skills in!
I am very capable of working by myself and within a team and have had lots of experience with a variety of horses from stallions, foals and broadmares to sport horses. I can complete all general yard duties to a high standard and have in depth knowledge of a range of equine sectors.
I currently work for an equine charity and have had experience working with a range of veterinary issues and rescue cases. Previously I have also worked at a riding school and as a groom.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I enjoy all aspects of working with horses! There’s not really anything that I dislike doing when it comes to working with them but mainly making sure they are happy and cared for correctly.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I have done some plaiting and clipping before but these are two areas that I would happily seek training a guidance in. I would also like to improve my riding as I have never had the chance to own a horse myself! Whilst studying it’s been hard to find the funds and time to keep riding.

I am dedicated, hard working and a team player as well as being able to carry out any task efficiently on my own.
