Experience with Horses
I have worked in a race yard as a groom/work rider, working in a riding school as a groom, livery yard. Retraining and rehoming race horses and currently a zoo keeper.
I have also completed a foundation course at the British racing school in Newmarket back in 2020 and i have recently passed my BHS stage 1 ride, care and complete horsemanship.
Key Skills
I am confident in handling and young horses and anything that might mess about. I am good at working alone and with others. I can clip, bandage, pull manes, trim, plaiting manes and i can do tails be need more practice to make them as neat as possible. I’m good at keeping the yard tidy and mucking out to a high standard.
Strengths and Weaknesses
I enjoy getting bonds with the horses and seeing how happy they are and getting to learn about every horse and their personalities.
I’d like to improve my knowledge of the care for horses and i’d like to learn more about clipping and keep practicing so i can continue to improve.
I am hard working kind and cheerful. I’m kind to all horses, i am patient and have a gentle hand when riding and caring for horses . i also have a clam ora which a lot of horses seem to like.
Requirements
I would like to work in an eventing yard or racing yard but i wouldn’t mind trying something new like a polo yard. I would like to gain more experience and knowledge. I would also like to carry on working through my BHS stages and eventually get my stage 2.
Depending how far way the yard is to me i would need accommodation.
