Experience with Horses

Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.

I have been working with horses my whole life. I have been a show groom for Rebecca Mason were I handled 7 horses by myself for 6 days and have worked with her main groom at other shows like Welsh Masters this year. I also did a months work experience at Caroline Wilks’ yard, which taught me a lot about how a professionals yard runs. With my own horses I have competed up to 1m30, and have experience upto medium in Dressage. I also have excellent knowledge on the ground with horses and would love to extend my knowledge. I have my Pony Club B test and working towards my AH.

Key Skills

What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc

I am excellent at handling horses and have experience with all types of horses from hot and sharp to handle to laid back personalities. I can clip, plait and have a high level of turn out for shows and at home. I do not have experience handling stallions but I would love to gain experience handling stallions. I have good communication skills, excellent team work skill and the ability to work efficiently in a team, by my self and as a leader of a team. I have  experience riding young horses but I would again love to gain experience and ride some more young horses.
