Experience with Horses
I am fully confident foaling mares and handling horses of any temperament belonging to every age group. I am capable of detecting any early sings of illness, diagnose the problem and administer appropriate treatment. I mastered every aspect of equine reproduction from collecting stallions for artificial insemination with fresh, chilled or frozen semen to embryo flushing and transfer.
I am very experienced in treating laminitis cases correcting the rotation applying proper wooden shoes. and managing all the cases to the most successful outcome.
Moreover, I have very vast knowledge of equine nutrition and prophylaxis of diseases, establishing deworming and vaccination protocols for horses.
Key Skills
My duties included breeding, treating adult horses and foals alike, supervising daily activities at the stud of the lay staff, coordinating with every department to ensure a smooth running of the stud. During the five years of work spent at Bait Al Arab, I realized that I enjoyed working with horses very much and how much passion I have for the horse world. I had grown professionally in the position to the point where I was recommended by the general manager of Bait Al Arab, Mr. Klaus Beste for a future employment opportunity as a general Manager of the Ajmal Arabian stud where I have been working since 2012. Ajmal Arabian Stud is a privately owned globally recognized straight Egyptian horse farm where there are 100 horses being bred and shown.
At the Ajmal Arabian Stud I carry out all managerial duties as well as purchasing everything that is needed for the horses and running of the Stud including all veterinary items. I am the reference person for the Stud pharmacy and collaborate with the Equine Veterinary Surgeon in the daily veterinary activities of all kind including foaling mares and caring for newborn stock, performing ultrasound examination of the mares, collecting stallions, performing Artificial Insemination, freezing semen and carrying out embryo transfer procedures. I am particularly experienced in intensive care of young foals including total parenteral nutrition through central catheter placement. I can carry out autonomously all the tasks mentioned above.
