Experience with Horses
I have been around horses from the age of 7 and have worked with and owned/loaned horses from the age of 13 with my first pony being a freshly backed 4 year old. Over the years I have worked with a variety of horses, I have experience of riding and working with horses from riding school ponies to retired 4* eventers of all different ages. I currently own a 15.2 sports horse who I bought to compete however we have had a few bumps in the road with many career ending injuries therefore my knowledge around rehabilitating horses is incredibly strong and this is what I take a particular interest to.
Key Skills
Thanks to my past experiences, I consider myself to be good at plaiting up, clipping, handling young horses, handling competition horses and the general mucking out and upkeep of horses. Previously my own horse has suffered a few life threatening injuries therefore equine first aid is a strong point for me which comes alongside bandaging and strong communication skills.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
Horses have always been my escape, whenever I am having a bad day I feel asthough horses help to boost my mood hence why I have chosen to continue the fun with them for my career!
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?

• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?

After studying equine at college and completing my degree in BSc(Hons) Equine Sports Science, I feel I have the knowledge needed to be a good employer, i am now just looking to apply my knowledge to real life and gain more experience.
