Experience with Horses
I have over 10 years of experience with horses, ranging from youngsters, fit competition horses, and hunt horses. I currently loan a Welsh D X Cob, which I use for trail hunting. I’m confident when handling youngsters, stallions, horses with behavioural issues and while on board. I am currently at Hartpury University studying Equine Performance & Rehabilitation, going into my 3rd year. I have worked at Hartpury Therapy Centre as well and gathered a lot of experience there. I can drive the water treadmill and dry treadmill as well as lunging, long reining, etc.

What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills, etc
I am happy to work on my own once I’ve got used to the yard’s routine, although I’m happy to work as a team. I have good communication skills and a funny, jokey personality. Handling young stock, stallions. Riding young horses, fit competition horses, and hunt horses. I have experience with plaiting & clipping, but it needs work.

I enjoy working and learning with horses, as I am very passionate about the rehabilitation side and therapy.

I would like to improve on plaiting, clipping and turnout for shows.

I am a motivated, confident, reliable groom/rider. I have experience in different disciplines within the equine industry. Confident when handling fit competition horses & youngsters. Calm, relaxed, lightweight rider, although firm when needed.

I’d like to gain more experience riding different sorts of horses as well as improve my clipping skills. Overall, I’m eager to learn new skills and work on them.
