I have been freelancing on and off for 2 years, I have experience with ponies and horses alike, ranging in ages from 18 months up to 26 years. I have helped break young horses and bring older ones back into work after a long period off. My involvement in the equine industry has taken me through a wide range of experiences, my journey began at a small riding school where I spent 6 months leaning the fundamentals of horse care and riding. I then felt the need for further personal development, this is where I took the chance to move to a more diverse yard. Here I was involved in the care and riding of over 30 horses. I have had my own horse a 17.2hh, ISH x Tb who was an ex-hunt horse and finished my extended diploma in Equine Management. I have competition experience at a local level including dressage and show jumping, I am able to plait manes tails, do quarter markings and bandage.

Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
The partnership between horses and rider they are incredibly intelligent animals not only physically but emotionally. I find working with horses extremely rewarding not matter the level or type of training being completed.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I would like to develop my knowledge of the equine industry and have the chance to improve my riding skill set to industry standard. Hopefully, allowing me to provide a wider range of services to clients in the future.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I’m hard working committed and a fast learner with a high attention to detail. I thrive under pressure and enjoy the challenge that working with horses brings, I am constantly trying to better myself and expand m knowledge of horses and the sport itself.

I would hope to gain more industry experience in my next job and gain support completing further BHS levels.
