Experience with Horses
Horses have been a part of my life since I was very small. I was brought up on my family riding school and livery yard helping as a child and latterly running the establishment with my mother and her partner. I grew up through Pony Club and our local riding club attending equine college when I left school, then going down the route of working on top class show jumping yards. As both home groom, managing the yard while the owners were away, and travelling with and full care of horses while away at international shows around the world. I kept horses as a hobby for a few years too, competing my own horses B.S and in local events and representing my local riding club at team events – qualifying for various national championships.
I have experience in freelance work looking after peoples horses on a regular basis and being in sole charge when the owners were on holiday. I’ve ridden out at a pre-training yard and worked regular hours at a top flight competition yard.
I manage the day to day work schedules of horses, and have experience in rehabilitating horses post-injury, bringing them back to full fitness.
I have managed the welfare of horses travelling around Europe.

I do have two very well behaved Pomeranians who are yard dogs, who have always been with me at work and are well used to being around horses etc. However, if a suitable role does not allow pets, I will find alternative arrangements for them.

I do have two horses who do not affect my working commitments.
