Experience with Horses
Experience with Horses
I have been riding for 15 years and have huge amounts experience with my own competition horse, who has previously jumped 140 but has been dealing with a mysterious lameness for the past 5 years. I have taken on the challenge of getting him back to work and within 6 months he was back to full health and full work. Breaking in my first horse at 12, who is now working in private schools and with rda (privately) Living in London has limited my opportunities to work on showjumping yards, but I have previously worked at 5* training facilities in Richmond Park with up to 3* eventers. These experiences have equipped me with the skills to handle high-standard operations. I also train with the Household Cavalry and receive coaching from ex-cavalry and Wimbledon ranger Carl Lacey.
Strengths and Weaknesses
I most enjoy the calmness i get when with horses through consistent care and training i love seeing the progress that can be made. Working with horses gives me a sense of patience, especially when I see progress and success in their training and rehabilitation over time. These feeling stems from having un-diagnosed ADHD my whole life, i then took up a challenge like no other, one that i knew would challenge and test me and everything i have struggled with, Buffy, My gelding and with help of my coach i have really learnt a lot and now i have learnt so much about myself and rather than to get impatient and frustrated, i find enjoyment in the time it takes, learning to focus on one task at a time rather than 100, making myself end up being 10x quicker.
i am energetic, ambitious and enjoy learning and hope these are all strengths i can use.

Requirements
2. Do you need accommodation?
Yes, as I currently living in London with my parents, I am looking for a position that includes accommodation. This move will help me gain independence and fully commit to the job.
3. Do you have any special requirements for any animals you wish to bring with you?
Yes, I have two geldings:
- One is a family horse, which may not require my full attention but and would be able to stay home with family and sharers.
- The other is my main horse, which is integral to my training and competition goals and will need to come with me he has competed up to 140 and has a very unusual story to tell.
Additionally, I would love to bring my small dog. She is very well-behaved, fully trained, and has excellent recall, so she does not require a lead, unless needed. However, bringing her is not a strict necessity
